The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting in the oversight and coordination of the men’s soccer program. The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach is sensitive to the needs of a diverse student body and is committed to assisting the Department of Athletics in enhancing and supporting the student development experience consistent with the mission of a Sinsinawa Dominican Catholic liberal arts university.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to NCAA, conference, and Dominican University rules and regulations.
• Identify and recruit academically and athletically qualified candidates to maintain the roster range.
• Assist in managing the operating budget and agency account for the program.
• Contribute to the development of a competitive schedule.
• Monitor and support the academic performance of student-athletes.
• Coordinate team travel and meal arrangements.
• Collaborate with the Athletics Business Manager to meet team transportation needs.
• Assist with the purchase, distribution, collection, and inventory of team uniforms, equipment, and supplies.
• Updating, educating staff, and overseeing the compliance of the Department of Athletics camp manual
• Support team fundraising efforts.
• Assist in developing, coordinating and growing the Department of Athletics camps and recreational programming
• Serving as the liaison to surrounding communities for camps/clinics
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Previous coaching experience required, collegiate coaching experience preferred
• Familiarity with NCAA Division III Rules and Regulations
• Experience and competence in various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc
• Strong organizational and written skills  
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

• Ability to spend long durations of the workday standing, walking, and demonstrating athletic activities.
