SUMMARY: Lawrence Tech University (LTU) is hiring for two Assistant Coaches for Men’s Ice Hockey. These individuals will assist in the operations of the LTU varsity hockey program. LTU Hockey is recognized as a varsity program with opportunities for advancement. Lawrence Tech is a members in the ACHA, WHAC and MCHC in hockey. The Assistant Coach will report directly to the Head Hockey Coach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Player Development: To assist in the continued development and growth of our successful collegiate men’s ice hockey program. Vital roles in practice planning, execution and player development. Coordination and oversight with film/video, stats program, strength, league awards and more.

•Game Competition: Assist in critical game elements such as lineup decisions, game strategies, in game management and adjustments, opponent scouting, and more.

•Recruiting: Involvement with both in and out of state recruiting, on and off campus recruit visits, working with our database of prospects and maintain records of contacts to remain in compliance with NAIA, ACHA and University regulations.

•Leadership Opportunities: Player management, program growth and advancement, recruiting, league representation, facility advancements and various other critical program elements.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Availability and genuine commitment are basic requirements.  LTU Hockey is a collegiate varsity program with strong opportunities for coaching advancement. A candidate must possess a strong work ethic, organizational skills and the ability to interact professionally with both players and staff. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:   Past playing experience necessary with prior coaching experience preferred. Due to continued growth we are adding two assistant coaches. We are positioned well to onboard applicants with strong coaching experience or young applicants wanting to begin or advance his coaching career.
