The Assistant Coach for Men’s Soccer assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the Men’s Soccer program at Cornell University. This includes assisting with team practice and competitions, and providing input on player evaluation and other decisions concerning team operations. In addition, the Assistant Coach will actively support the scouting of opponents and the breakdown of our own performances. The Assistant Coach also has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach.
This is a 10 months per year, full-time position.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes.
- Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Must be a highly motivated person with an outstanding work ethic and have strong emotional intelligence.
- Experience running/organizing camps preferred.
