Friends University is seeking to fill the Head Coach - Track and Field position in Wichita Kansas. This position will oversee all areas of the Friends University intercollegiate Track and Field Program. This includes budget management, personnel management, practice and competition planning, recruitment and retention. To support the Christian mission and values of Friends University and the NAIA Champions of Character.

3-5 years of experience of coaching required. Head coaching experience preferred. High school head coaching experience will be considered.
Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. The ability to motivate and influence others is material to this position. Requires diplomacy, ability to garner trust of others and maintaining confidential information. Ability to lead in an inclusive and developmental manner.
The position requires strong financial management, time management and personnel management skills. The individual must possess acute understanding of sport preparation and facilitation. Some experience and skill in fundraising and summer camp development will be considered. The individual must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds.
