Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist head coach in practice and competition planning and implementation
• Assist in all facets of recruiting and retention of student-athletes to the men’s ice hockey program
• Assist with strength and conditioning program for men’s ice hockey
• Assist with all funding raising initiatives for the Hiram College men’s ice hockey program
• Do athletic laundry in sport season
• Participate in Annual Day with Hiram Golf Outing
• Other duties as assigned, to possibly include, but not be limited to other sport event management during the off-season

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong working knowledge of men’s ice hockey
• Ability to teach skills and strategy of men’s ice hockey
• Working knowledge of strength and conditioning relative to men’s ice hockey
• Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented office environment and interact in a positive manner with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the public.
• Microsoft Word
• Excel
• Experience with Front Rush
• Proficient with all forms of social media

Experience

• Previous college men’s ice hockey and/or coaching experience preferred
• Experience recruiting college athletes preferred

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Acceptance into the Hiram College MAIS Graduate Program or Sports Management Graduate program required for consideration
