The primary responsibilities of the head coach include coaching the teams during practices and games, team and travel supervision, and recruiting. The employee must be able to relate effectively with a wide variety of students and individuals in the College community.  The College expects this individual to accomplish assigned duties in an efficient, effective and competent manner and to strive for improvement and excellence in all work performed. Additionally, this individual must understand the comprehensive role of the community college and cooperate and work harmoniously with college personnel and the public. This individual will follow all college policies, rules, regulations and guidelines as they relate to this position. 
 
 Qualifications 
 
 
 
 Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor&#8217;s degree in physical education, coaching, sports administration or a related field OR any combination of education and experience totaling 7 year(s). 
 Must know how to recruit, schedule, train, teach and report results of the sport coached. 
 Demonstrated capacity to recruit and retain quality-level, competitive student athletes. 
 History of coaching success while maintaining discipline as well as supportive and professional relationships with players. 
 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, administration and other members of the College community 
 Demonstrated integrity and ability to interact in a supportive manner with players while extracting optimum achievement. 
 Demonstrated organizational ability including experience with complex organizational procedures.</description>
