Posting Text: Northern State University, home to Wolves athletics, which sponsors 15 NCAA Division II intercollegiate varsity sports that compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NSIC) is seeking candidates for the Assistant AD - Communications & Fan Engagement position.
The position responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting efforts related to the communications and fan engagement operations of the department. The position will serve as a primary media contact for multiple sports and assist with statistics inputting, press releases, social media promotion, and other day-to-day athletic communication functions. The position will also assist the with implementation of in game promotions, activation of corporate partnerships, game script writing and videoboard operations. The position will also assist with all departmental fundraising events, as well as other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred). * 1-3 years of athletic administration experience at the collegiate level preferred. * A working knowledge of hosting NCAA championships and/or other major sports events is preferred. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues, student-athletes, and administrators. * Demonstrated successful fundraising, marketing and promotion experience in athletics. * Experience working with NCAA LiveStats by Genius and StatCrew platforms preferred. * Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as required.
