Collegiate level coaching experience with a demonstrated understanding of NCAA DII Rules with a preference for head coaching experience Demonstration of successful collegiate recruiting experience

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required / Master’s Degree preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Provide leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student athletes.

-Direct and coordinate the activities of the men’s and women’s golf program in the planning, organizing and coaching of the team; ensure compliance with the university, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.

-Direct the men’s and women’s golf staff and team in the preparation of analyses of opposing teams; analyze statistics and technical data of opponents, and prepare strategy accordingly.

-Counsel team members in academic, disciplinary and personal matters; consult with athletic administration for resolution of problems when necessary.

-Lead the strategic recruitment of new student-athletes; determine recipients of golf athletic scholarships in accordance with university admissions policies, the men’s and women’s golf scholarship budget, and in compliance with NCAA rules.

-Determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditures of budgeted funds.

-Direct various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, merit recommendations, and promotions.

-Study, evaluate, and implement training innovations in men’s and women’s golf strategy, use of equipment and facilities.

- Develop and execute a fundraising strategy in coordination with athletic advancement to increase revenues to enhance the student-athlete experience.
