Indiana Wesleyan University invites resumes for a full-time position with full benefits. The Assistant Track & Field Coach will assist the Head Track & Field Coach and Head Cross Country Coach in the continuation of a highly competitive NAIA program.
General Responsibility: This is a full-time benefits eligible position. The primary role of the Assistant Track & Field Coach will be to spearhead the recruiting efforts within the Track & Field and Cross Country programs. This individual will need to be relational and have a desire to connect and build relationships with high school coaches in Indiana and surrounding states. They will also need to be able to develop a recruiting plan aimed at accomplishing our team’s recruiting goals. Additionally, this individual will need to have a Track & Field background and willingness to contribute in coaching one of our event areas (preferably sprints, hurdles, or jumps). There will be “other duties as assigned” throughout the year. This position involves frequent verbal, written, and email correspondence with students, parents, faculty and staff.

Responsibilities:
Take lead in the recruiting efforts of prospective student-athletes.
Assists with practice schedules, home competitions, team travel, and event management, individualized instruction, evaluation.
Coordinates recruitment and travel.
Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to communicate and demonstrate a strong commitment to their faith in Jesus Christ.
Have a strong desire for discipleship, mentorship, and relationship.
Bachelor’s degree
Two years track & field and/or cross-country coaching experience in High School or College
