The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is looking for an experienced graphics designer with a passion for sports. This position is responsible for brand management of the Florida Gators football program. Insures consistency of the creative media designs and productions, including internal/external printed and digital graphics such as posters, print-advertising, tickets, brochures, social graphics, real-time GIFs, facilities signage, team apparel, and other promotional items. Works in collaboration with the Marketing & Promotions, Communications, GatorVison and Social Media Team with football-related marketing materials.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field and five years of related work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement. Experience with desktop publishing, and a comprehensive knowledge of press and pre-press technologies including process and spot color theory, varnishing, binding, trapping, paper selection and impositions are also required. Experience in project management, layout, design, typography, file organization and 4/c file preparation are also required. Proficient skillset with design software to include Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office are requirements. After Effects, Flash, Pagemaker and Final Cut and an understanding of web content and design are preferred. Knowledge of current and emerging trends and innovative approaches in industry type faces/MAC programs. The ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds is essential. Must be flexible, detail oriented and have the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team while meeting stringent deadlines. Previous experience with Division I athletics is preferred. The ability to work a non-standard work schedule which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and some overnight travel is mandatory.
