Responsibilities include all aspects of planning, managing and developing a successful NCAA Division II Football program in accordance with NCAA, Great American Conference and University regulations. This includes program development, on-field coaching, recruiting, scheduling, travel planning, budget management, supervising athletes, fundraising, promoting and monitoring academic progress of student athletes, public relations and other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
A master’s degree is preferred. A background of competitive coaching, recruiting experience, knowledge of NCAA rules, commitment to the academic success of student-athletes, and the ability to organize and motivate student-athletes to achieve maximum performance levels is required. The successful candidate must clearly demonstrate a strong record of successful collegiate football coaching, including evidence of building competitive programs, developing student-athletes, and achieving measurable on-field success. The ability to work, communicate, and develop rapport with students, faculty, administration, alumni, community groups, and media is required. Physical education class instruction in a variety of traditional classes is an expectation and may be assigned.
