Responsibilities
To assist the head coach in the administrative and operation of the women&#8217;s basketball program.  Duties include (not limited to): teaching and modeling program mission and core values; assisting in all practice sessions, skill instruction and competitive events; team travel; assisting with recruitment of student-athletes; assisting in fundraising and community service; video exchange; scouting; student-athlete academic monitoring; managing equipment needs; summer camp; and general program administration.

Required Qualifications
&#8226;Bachelor&#8217;s Degree.
&#8226;Demonstrated experience working in an inclusive community.
&#8226;Must have a valid driver&#8217;s license, a good driving record and the ability to drive passenger vans.

Responsibilities also include game management; participation in institutional events such as commencement; support of special events, including the Hall of Fame Induction ceremony; and other duties as assigned by athletic administration. Although competition will begin in Fall 2027, the selected candidate will be hired in advance to recruit throughout the 2026&#8211;27 academic year and ensure the roster is in place for launch.

2.Develops and maintains a system to identify prospective student-athletes and to work closely with area high school and junior program coaches to recruit quality student-athletes.

3.Create a successful recruitment plan that includes a calendar, budget, contacts with prospective student athletes, and milestone check-in points.

4.Collaborate with offices and department around campus to ensure student success.

5.Develops and implements a program which includes monitored academic progress in addition to performance.

Manage the program within the parameters of an approved budget, including forecasting expenses and optimizing financial resources.

Coordinate with the Head Women&#8217;s Indoor and Beach Volleyball Coach on budget requests, purchasing, and long-term financial planning.

Utilize business analytics to evaluate spending efficiency, recruitment effectiveness, and overall program performance.

Scheduling &#38; Logistics

Coordinate game and practice schedules in collaboration with the Head Coach and Associate Athletic Director.

Oversee transportation logistics, including travel arrangements for team competitions, lodging, and meals, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Schedule and coordinate game officials for all home contests.

Equipment &#38; Facilities Management

Oversee equipment procurement, inventory management, and maintenance, ensuring all gear meets competitive and safety standards.

Develop a system to track usage, lifespan, and replacement needs for equipment and apparel.

Coordinate facility scheduling for practices, matches, camps, and special events.

Data Analytics &#38; Performance Evaluation

Utilize performance analytics software to assess individual and team performance, improving training strategies and game preparation.

Analyze recruiting trends, player statistics, and competition scouting reports to make data-driven decisions.

Implement film analysis and scouting reports to prepare the team for opponents, utilizing video breakdowns and statistical insights.

Camps, Clinics fundraising initiatives.

Engage with the local and regional volleyball community to build strong relationships and enhance program visibility.

Additional Duties

Support the Head Women&#8217;s Indoor and Beach Volleyball Coach in all aspects of program development.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Department.

Coordinate with the Head Women&#8217;s Indoor and Beach Volleyball Coach


Additional Responsibilities:

Assume the duties of the university Campus Security Authority (CSA), including but not limited to, reporting crimes as defined through the Clery Act and providing annual reporting statistics.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
The Assistant Women&#8217;s Indoor and Beach Volleyball Coach must be able to raise and lower volleyball nets, assist in setting up bleachers, scorer&#8217;s tables and player seating for intercollegiate contests and drive and transport athletes if needed.

Responsibilities 
Coaching &#38; Student-Athlete Development
    Coach, instruct, and condition swimming and diving student-athletes in sport fundamentals, skill development, and strategy while fostering an educationally sound and developmentally enriching environment.
    Develop and conduct daily practices and oversee a competitive NCAA intercollegiate schedule, including ensuring travel to and from away competitions, consistent with department and University policies.
    Develop, manage, and communicate a comprehensive annual program calendar that includes traditional and non-traditional seasons.

Recruiting
    Recruit, motivate, and retain student athletes consistent with institutional admissions and roster management expectations, policies, and practices. Collaborate with administrators to determine appropriate roster size.
    Partner with the Office of Admissions to best align with University goals in recruiting prospective students.
    Build and maintain strong relationships and communicate regularly with high school coaches, club programs and other prospective student contacts to reach a broad and talented pipeline, through activities that include but are not limited to in-person evaluations, campus visits and events, and facilitating applications and pre-reads

Team Leadership &#38; Management
    Support the holistic development of student-athletes by partnering with different University colleagues and offices, athletic training staff, academic support, and campus resources to promote health, safety, and overall emotional, physical, and social well-being.
    Report and discuss concerns that implicate student mental health, student conduct, allegations of potential hazing, misconduct, discrimination, harassment or retaliation or other concerns about student well-being or conduct with Student Affairs. Educate assistant coaches and volunteer coaches on their obligations to do the same.
    Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches, volunteer coaches, and student workers for assigned sport and job responsibilities.
    Promote a culture of professionalism, respect, accountability, and continuous growth.
    Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with student-athletes, assistant and volunteer coaches, and other program staff. Educate assistant coaches and volunteer coaches on their obligations to do the same.
    Participate in professional development opportunities through recognized national coaching and sport organizations, in adherence with institutional policies and dependent on available resources.
    Serve as primary ambassador and represent the program publicly and through strategic communication and media initiatives.

Compliance &#38; Institutional Alignment
    Ensure full compliance with NCAA and SCIAC rules and regulations. Participate in required departmental, conference, and NCAA meetings, education, and training programs, and adhere to university and departmental policies and procedures.
    Promote, model, and enforce the highest standards of competitive integrity, academic responsibility, and professional conduct for student-athletes consistent with university policies, departmental expectations, and NCAA regulations.
    Commit to reporting any potential concerns or violations to the Director of Athletics or the University&#8217;s Office of Institutional Compliance.
    Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) and Title IX Mandatory Reporter, including completion of required training and timely reporting.

Administrative Responsibilities
    Develop and obtain the Director&#8217;s approval of an annual operating budget. Manage and oversee expenditures in accordance with the approved budget, departmental and University policies.
    Oversee maintenance of athletic facilities, including partnering with others in the department or University to share common facility spaces.
    Partner with University Advancement to develop and implement fundraising initiatives that support program goals. Cultivate and foster positive long-standing relationships with alumni, donors, parents, key volunteers, and program supporters.

Game Administrator Responsibilities
    Serve as game administrator for home sporting events as assigned by the Director including, but not limited to, men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s water polo, baseball, softball, and tennis home events.

About the Academy
Trailborn Athletics LLC is a dedicated youth wrestling and athletic training academy serving Central Texas, located in Salado along the I-35 corridor between Austin and Waco. We train across folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman disciplines and run a complementary youth strength and agility program that builds athleticism and feeds long-term wrestling development. We are building this program from the ground up and looking for a coach who wants to help shape it.
Position Summary
The Head Wrestling Coach leads the day-to-day operation of our wrestling program: planning and running practices, developing athletes across all ages and skill levels, building the competitive season, and creating a positive environment that keeps wrestlers engaged and improving. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who is passionate about youth development and excited to build something lasting in a growing market.
Key Responsibilities
&#8226;Plan, organize, and lead daily wrestling practices for youth athletes across A/B team tiers and multiple skill levels.
&#8226;Teach sound technique and progressions in folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling.
&#8226;Develop and manage the competitive schedule, including practice planning around the UIL season (November&#8211;February) and offseason freestyle/Greco.
&#8226;Track athlete progress, set development goals, and communicate clearly with athletes and parents.
&#8226;Support and help grow the youth strength and agility program as a feeder into wrestling.
&#8226;Maintain a safe training environment, including injury prevention, proper supervision, and adherence to SafeSport and two-deep leadership protocols.
&#8226;Contribute to recruiting, retention, and community-building efforts that grow enrollment.
&#8226;Represent the academy professionally at meets, camps, and community events.
Qualifications
Required
&#8226;Competitive wrestling experience at high school, collegiate, or club level.
&#8226;Prior coaching experience and a demonstrated ability to teach technique to youth athletes.
&#8226;Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
&#8226;Ability to pass a background check and complete SafeSport certification.
