Responsibilities: Instruct and supervise campers in basketball sessions, ensuring safety and skill development Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth Serve as an administrator, offering guidance and support to camp counselors Collaborate with fellow counselors and camp leadership to create a well-rounded and exciting camp experience Act as a role model for campers, promoting values such as respect, responsibility, and resilience. - Participate in all camp activities, including meals, evening programs, and special events.

Requirements

Graduated from college
Previous experience coaching or playing in basketball is a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Energetic, enthusiastic, and patient demeanor when working with children
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

About Camp Kennybrook

Nestled in the Catskill Mountains, 90 minutes North of New York City, we are a family owned, family run, co-ed, overnight camp where literally everyone knows every body. Approximately 300 campers, ranging from ages 6-16, and 125 staff members call Kennybrook their second home each summer. Our staff is made up of long-term adult educators and college-age leaders, and many of our counselors are former Kennybrook campers. Our staff members take the time to get to know every camper in order to help them have the best possible camp experience, and our engaged directors are always available to speak to parents throughout the summer. We’ve created such a special place at Kennybrook that once people come, they never want to leave! We are proud to share that we have over an 85% camper return rate each summer.
