Responsibilities: This is a strategic position and will serve as a senior member of the athletic administrative team. This position will be responsible for the strict compliance of the athletic department to National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) rules and policies. The position will develop processes and procedures to ensure athletic department compliance and has primary responsibility to supervise coaches and staff regarding NAIA and HAAC rules compliance. The Associate Director will manage business relationship processes, assist in determining major expenditures and allocations with the department, as well as serving as the point of contact to work with the College’s Financial Aid department to coordinate the scholarship activities for department. Will work with Athletic Director in fundraising campaigns and explore new revenue sources for the department. Will implement processes and ensure programs are supporting the success of the student experience aspect for all student-athletes. The position will also have a large emphasis on the development and execution of gameday management duties. Frequent evening and weekend work required as well as some travel required. This position is exempt with regard to FLSA overtime.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be detail oriented and have ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Previous effective supervisory experience is required. Working knowledge of NAIA eligibility regulations and working knowledge of fundraising practices is also required. Valid driver’s license is required.
