Villanova University, a Division 1 institution and member of the Big East Conference is seeking candidates for the Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine. This position will serve as the Healthcare Administrator and be responsible for managing all aspects of Sports Medicine operations, including but not limited to: coordinating the delivery of health care to our varsity student-athletes, the development and implementation of all athletic training policies, procedures, and services, work with the head team physician to coordinate team physician services, personnel management, fiscal management, risk management, and the enforcement of the student-athlete medical expense policy.
All duties must be performed in accordance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.

Formal Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in sports medicine/athletic training or related field; current NATABOC certification
Must be eligible for and have applied for the Pennsylvania Athletic Training Class A Certification
Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification.
CSCS Certification/PES Certification preferred
Specific Job Knowledge:
Familiarity with health care insurance issues and drug testing protocols.
Minimum Work Experience:
7+ years of extensive clinical athletic training experience at an NCAA Division 1 institution as well as extensive administrative and management experience.
Work Skills:
Ability to keep good records, including S.O.A.P. notes, daily rehab updates, and injury reports and proficiency with personal computer applications necessary. Excellent communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Equipment Knowledge:
Ability to utilize therapeutic modalities and rehabilitative equipment.
