The Athletics Graduate Assistant will support the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by marketing Athletics through content creation, including photography, videography, and managing social media accounts. They will also help with general functions within the Goodman Center, including events and assisting with gameday prep, facilities help, and administrative office tasks. This position will report directly to the Sports Information Director and will receive general direction from the Athletic Leadership team. Duties & Responsibilities: •Assistance with Roosevelt Athletics social media channels, including planning, graphics & content creation, copy writing, and posting. •Assist with video production and editing, including in-game segments, gameday highlights, and feature interviews with student-athletes and coaches •Photography at Roosevelt Lakers athletic events •Write, edit and publish game recaps and game notes •Help maintain the RooseveltLakers.com website •Game day prep and set up including but not limited to setting up and testing equipment for scoreboards, video streams, audio, and venue seating. •General facility upkeep within the Goodman Center and other Athletics Facilities. •Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Admittance into a Roosevelt University Graduate Program Availability to work during standard business hours (Monday-Friday; 9am to 5pm). Availability to occasionally work nights and weekend dates to provide support at Roosevelt Athletics competitions. Professional and friendly attitude, including phone/email and in-person customer service. Willingness to learn, particularly the intricacies of sports rules and operations. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with social media platforms, including X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Basic understanding of statistics software including NCAA Live Stats and PrestoSports Basic working knowledge of various sports. Basic understanding of using email and the Microsoft Office suite of products Basic understanding of using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition
