The Greenville University Men&#8217;s Volleyball program is seeking applicants for the appointment of Graduate Assistant Coach.  This appointment begins June 1, 2025.  This Graduate Assistant will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Men&#8217;s Volleyball program as well as secondary responsibilities assigned by the Athletic Director.

Compensation includes a stipend and a tuition waiver for a master&#8217;s program at Greenville University.

To be eligible for the Graduate Assistant position, applicants must complete the graduate program application, receive provisional acceptance, and enroll in a Greenville University graduate program.  This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship as all Greenville University Graduate Programs are offered online only.

Greenville University is a NCAA Division III institution, located outside of St. Louis.  Greenville University is an evangelical Christian liberal arts college associated with the Free Methodist Church, whose faculty and staff affirm a Statement of Faith.

Areas of Responsibility:

Academic &#38; Spiritual Mentorship: Support student-athletes&#8217; academic progress and lead team Bible studies or faith-based mentorship initiatives.
Coaching &#38; Training: Assist in planning and leading practices and competitions.
Recruitment &#38; Retention: Help identify and engage prospective student-athletes through emails, phone calls, letters, and social media.
Administrative Support: Manage team operations, maintain databases, and assist in fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.
Game Day &#38; Event Management: Assist with athletic events, performances, and university-related activities as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Qualifications/Requirements: 
 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree required and acceptance into a Greenville University Graduate Program 
 Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

 The Men&#8217;s Volleyball Graduate Assistant will support all aspects of a competitive collegiate volleyball program. This role is designed for an individual pursuing a graduate degree while gaining hands-on coaching, recruiting, and program management experience in a high-level, relationship-driven environment.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES &#38; RESPONSIBILITIES 
 - Assist with planning and execution of daily practices and training sessions 
 - Support game-day operations, including scouting reports and statistical breakdowns 
 - Aid in recruiting efforts 
 - Coordinate team travel logistics and assist with scheduling 
 - Contribute to building a positive, competitive, and team-first culture 
 - Monitor student-athlete academic progress and promote accountability 
 - Build relationships with athletes to support personal growth on and off the court 
 - Other duties as assigned  

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 
This Graduate Assistant will help supervise student managers and players.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &#38; ABILITIES REQUIRED 

 - Acceptance into a graduate program at ONU 
 - Playing or coaching experience at the collegiate or high-level club level preferred 
 - Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills 
 - Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required 
 - Passion for developing student-athletes on and off the court 
 - A lifestyle in agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant 
 - High energy with a growth mindset 
 - Detailed-oriented and self-motivated 
 - Strong relational skills and ability to build trust with athletes 

 EDUCATION 
Bachelor&#8217;s Degree is required

 WORK ENVIRONMENT 
 This person will report to work at our Bourbonnais campus. This position will showcase your skills on the job, as well as in the classroom.  Full tuition and competitive stipend</description>
