Skidmore College’s Athletic, Fitness and Recreation Department invites applicants for a part-time, regular (9 month) Assistant Field Hockey Coach position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in daily practice preparation and training, coaching, recruiting prospective student athletes, scouting opponents, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. The assistant will communicate and develop a rapport with student-athletes, families, faculty, and alumni. The position will also include facility home game management and/or equipment room responsibilities during the academic year.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree required. Collegiate field hockey coaching and/or playing experience required. Candidates must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. A valid driver’s license and CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) are required. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and extended travel.
Anticipated start date will be August 15, 2026.
Anticipated Salary will be $15,000
