Rockford University, a member of the NCAA DIII and the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, is seeking to fill a Women’s Flag Football Graduate Assistant position to begin August 4, 2025. This position reports directly to the Head Women’s Flag Football Coach, and requires availability during nights and weekends. Preference will be given to candidates with prior flag football playing experience. Benefits include 21 credit hours of tuition remission per academic year, $200 monthly stipend and room and board. Graduate Assistants are required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, up to 40 hours over 12 months per year.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Academic Coordinator: •Responsible for making sure Library hours sheet is updated weekly •Academic cards daily •Responsible for communicating during staff meetings what player did not get library hours for that day. •Responsible for making sure academic cards are updated daily and shared during staff meetings. •Work with the head coach supervising study table hours
Other Assigned Duties: •Responsible for set-up and clean-up of practice equipment •Responsible for making sure inputs for after games are in by the next morning by 8:00am •Responsible for making sure film is uploaded after every practice •Recruiting and making contacts with prospective student-athletes as assigned •Setting up campus visits for recruits with the admissions team •Responsible for recruitment tours •Any other jobs/assignments as directed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s Degree. • Acceptance into the graduate program • A valid driver's license and personal auto insurance; insurable for driving per RU’s policy • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Must be willing to take initiative and work hard
