Responsible for assisting in the daily management of all equipment activity for several Olympic Sports in the Department of Athletics, including Women's Ice Hockey. These responsibilities include assisting in the management of the resource allocation provided by the department's equipment and apparel provider (New Balance), inventory maintenance and management, developing and implementing equipment room policies and procedures and supervision of two full-time equipment mangers (as well as 6-7 student workers). This position also manages the logistics surrounding receiving shipments of product and distributing equipment to teams (including visiting teams) and administrative department. Additionally, the assistant equipment manager assists in the operations of the department's van fleet.
Assist in management of daily equipment operations -Assist in the daily operation of the equipment which includes inventory maintenance and management and developing and implementing policies and procedures. - Receives shipments of apparel and equipment product from various supplies - Distributes apparel and equipment to student-athletes, coaches and staff - Ensures security of equipment - Manages the workflow amongst equipment operations staff (including student-workers) - Works with the Director of Equipment Operations in assessing overall apparel and equipment needs for the department - Assists with game day operations by preparing visiting team locker rooms and press room with supplies

Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in equipment operations Demonstrated experience in effective laundry practices and inventory management
This position is required to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, ACC and institutional rules and regulations.
Preferred / Desired:
Prior experience in a Division I equipment operations setting preferred.
Prior experience working with hockey programs (collegiate preferred)
Experience with skate sharpening preferred
Bachelor's degree required
Frequent night and weekend work required. Ability to work flexible hours.
