Wagner College, a NCAA Division I member of the Northeast Conference (NEC), is accepting applications for a full-time entry level Media Relations Assistant position. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the Wagner Media Relations staff in the management of rosters, schedules, statistics, and stories for all 28 Wagner Athletics programs, and will assist in the creation of media content. Night and weekend work will be required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
-Serve as the primary media relations contact for assigned sports (Sports – TBD)
-Write previews, recaps, and personal interest stories for wagnerathletics.com
-Assist in the creation and management of all Wagner Athletics media
-Utilize social media platforms to enhance the reach of content and engagement

Required Skills:
- Desire for a full-time career in the media relations field preferred.
- Relevant experience in the field of professional or collegiate athletic
communications preferred.
- The ideal candidate has prior experience in writing, graphic design, video editing,
NCAA statistics software, or social media strategy.
-Must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
