The Director of Social Media & Digital Strategy will work as part of the digital & creative media team to develop and execute a strategic, creative vision for Utah Athletics social media channels. This position will serve as the Utah Athletics primary contact for all main athletics social media channels.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, related field or equivalency; three years relevant experience required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communications skills also required. Proficient and creative in video editing, photography and design, using the Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge with DSLR cameras both in video and photography for content creation will be important. Strong knowledge in social analytics and metrics as well as analytical-based decision making will be critical. This individual must possess a demonstrated ability for strategic thinking and basic public relations sensibilities. This individual also must possess strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as the ability to lead a team in a collaborative manner.
