Rivier University, located in Nashua, New Hampshire, seeks a dynamic leader to join the Athletics department as our Head Coach of Field Hockey. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach will be charged with the administration and oversight of an NCAA Division III field hockey program that participates in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. This is a full-time, 10-month position with additional responsibilities associated with game management and creating a comprehensive student-athlete experience. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to recruit and develop student-athletes and have a strong commitment to the Division III philosophy and the Rivier mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct all aspects of coaching varsity field hockey team
Recruit qualified student-athletes in cooperation with Admissions staff
Plan and conduct practice sessions
Coach field hockey team at all home and away games
Become familiar with and adhere to all NCAA and Great Northeast Athletic Conference rules
Assume primary responsibility for first aid when a trainer is unavailable
Attend Athletic Awards Ceremony and other department functions as assigned
Assist with department student work-study positions
Game Manager when assigned
Assist the Director of Athletics with NCAA and GNAC compliance
Assist with all conference business as needed
Other Athletic Department and University duties as assigned
