The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Career Education & Development. This is a career, full-time position with a targeted salary range of $60,000 – $65,000/year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Development and the Associate Director of Career Education and Development, the Assistant Director of Career Education & Development will be a member of the UCLA Athletics Student-Athlete Development team which provides programs and services for all UCLA student-athletes and the Career Center Career Education and Development team which provides career education to UCLA undergraduate students.

All applicants should demonstrate the following abilities and requirements:  Master’s degree preferred; A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience working in student services in higher education preferred; Minimum of two (2) years of previous student-athlete development and/or individual career advising experience required; Incumbent must have proficiency in promotional and communication skills; Incumbent must have exceptional organization and time management skills; Incumbent must have the ability to work independently; Incumbent must demonstrate initiative and self-motivation; Incumbent must have the ability to understand and successfully attain project goals and initiatives; Incumbent must have the ability to engage with a diverse group of people; Incumbent must have effective facilitation and curriculum development skills; Incumbent must have the ability to leverage technology to achieve goals; Incumbent must have the ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and act with discretion; It is strongly preferred that incumbent have the basic knowledge of NCAA and Conference eligibility rules.
