The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking candidates for an Assistant Director, Compliance. The Assistant Director of Compliance serves as a member of the compliance team that is committed to excellence and advancing the vision of the Department of Athletics through its strategic plan.
The position works in conjunction with the compliance staff to implement NCAA Big Ten and The Ohio State University regulations. This position supports elite student-athlete monitoring efforts. This position supports the compliance monitoring team and works closely with the coaches support staff and student-athletes to ensure adherence to NCAA bylaws. Additionally, this position supports the monitoring and education of elite student-athletes. Completes other duties as assigned. This position must be able to act with integrity and discretion as they will be exposed to sensitive and confidential information. This position works in a fast-paced creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Additional Education Desired J.D. or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree is required; Juris Doctor or Master's Degree is preferred. 1-3 years experience in an Athletic compliance setting at an institutional, conference or national association level is required. Position requires strong computer skills, strong analytical skills, well-developed written and oral communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects. Must have successful experience working in a collaborative and team oriented environment and act with integrity and personal accountability.
