Position Summary: Monmouth University is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach in the Athletics department.
The candidate would be expected to: coach and lead pitching staff; coordinate year-round instruction with the pitchers depending upon skill set - performed daily; oversee the academic development of baseball student-athletes and monitor academic progress of student athletes - performed daily throughout the academic year.
Serve as the Director of Player Development and oversee the entire year-round training process; serve as the direct supervisor of skill development - this process will include creation of a written year-round plan for pitchers, creation of off-season conditioning, and placing athletes in appropriate summer baseball leagues.
Required Degree, License or Certifications: Valid Automobile Driver's License in your state of principal residence, Bachelor's degree, CPR and NCAA recruiting certification must be attained within six months from date of hire
Required Skills or Software: Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must have an understanding of the University's concern for academics as well as athletic excellence

Other Requirements: Baseball playing and coaching experience at the collegiate level, preferably Division I.
Availability to work flexible hours, especially late nights and a flexible summer schedule.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in coaching college pitchers. NCAA recruiting experience. Knowledge of Synergy and Rapsodo.
