Maintains all medical records and injury reports on student-athletes. Administers treatment and rehabilitative programs under the supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer and Team Physician. Applies protective devices and equipment. Attends athletic events as required and schedules outside medical care. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
60% - Essential - Athletic Trainer for Assigned Sport Maintains all medical records and injury reports on student-athletes. Administers treatment and rehabilitative programs. Applies protective devices and equipment. Attends athletic events. Schedules outside medical care.
30% - Essential - Athletic Training Room Operations and Assistance: Manages athletic training room operations in the absence of the Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer. Represents the Department at University, Conference, and national organizations. Responds to inquiries. Maintains sound relations with University alumni. Undertakes special assignments and projects. Assists with pool maintenance and upkeep. Remains on-call for all sports and assists with coverage for practices and competitions for high-risk sports. Attends athletic events. Assists with coverage of Olympic sports. Manages weekly and daily cleaning of the Jervey Athletic Training Room.
10% - Essential - Records Keeping and Compliance: Maintains medical records and injury reports on student-athletes. Ensures compliance with OSHA guidelines. Assists the Director of Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer with budget planning.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree Certfications - NATABOC Certification and must meet SCDHEC eligibility requirements. Work Exp 3+ years
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - 1st Master's Degree
