By 1975 the mission had expanded to include meeting the “educational and cultural demands of the citizens of the Commonwealth, other states, and foreign nations.” With the addition of residence halls in 2008, this picturesque campus located just south of Richmond, Virginia, emerged as a vibrant and diverse living-learning community. In 2013 Richard Bland Athletics was revived after at 20+ year hiatus. All sports compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). We offer 15 total teams and with nearly 200 athletes. We strive for excellence with expectations to compete for region and national championships.
