Come join our team at the University of West Georgia. The Assistant Athletic Trainer position works independently carrying out the duties with the specific sports they are assigned. This includes the athletic training duties of treatment, rehabilitation of student athletes in 14 NCAA sponsored sports and our competitive cheer squads. This position is responsible for post-surgery procedures and rehabilitation of the student athletes. Additional responsibilities includes working with medical coverage of all sports; setting up diagnostic tests and doctor appointments; administering of NCAA and in-house drug testing; inventory of equipment and supplies; administering of pre-participation physicals for 300+ student athletes; inputting and updating of medical records into the computer
