JOB SUMMARY This position directs the university's student athletic programs and activities. MAJOR DUTIES Manages the day-to-day operations of the department. Hires, trains, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines personnel. Prepares budget requests and manages assigned budgets. Coordinates fundraising activities, including the activities of support/booster groups. Coordinates and approves team schedules. Monitors student eligibility for sports. Directs marketing and promotional activities. Establishes travel policies and procedures for sports teams. Prepares and implements strategic plans for the department based on the university's mission and goals. Serves as college liaison to national and regional sports organizations.
