This position plays a critical role in developing, evaluating, and implementing the overall strategic plan of the Department of Athletics, and contributes to the management and financial stability of the program by emphasizing extensive and robust community engagement programs, revenue generating opportunities, and other external functions. Responsibilities include marketing and promotions, branding strategies, social media and other communications, Viking Athletic Club, special events, ticket sales/strategies, athletic event advertising, community engagement and oversight of the WWU Athletics Internship program and WWU Cheer Program.
