Essential Functions:
Promotes the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, to include adhering to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Atlantic Coast Conference, and the NCAA. Assists head coach in coaching student-athletes in throwing events and improving leadership and instruction in areas of deficiency as required. Assists head coach in making and strengthening team policy to foster strong team culture. Advises and counsels with student-athletes in cross country and track and field regarding obligations to comply with all University, ACC, and NCAA rules and regulations related to financial aid and eligibility, as well as personal conduct and appearance.
