Essential Functions: •The Assistant Athletic Counselor/Learning Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation in the Office of Student-Athlete Academic Services and will serve as the primary athletic counselor for multiple sports. •Provides academic advising and counseling to student-athletes in various academic majors in matters relating to goal setting, curriculum choice, course load, study habits and course selection. •Assists in the development and implementation of programs and services designed for under-prepared and learning challenged student-athletes, as well as, developing and implementing programmatic and training initiatives for the tutorial program. •Monitors academic progress toward degree for continuing eligibility and
