The Assistant Athletic Trainer will report to the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine. The position will supervise and coordinate athletic training services for student-athletes in intercollegiate athletic programs – primarily men’s and women’s cross country and men’s and women’s track & field. Essential duties include but are not limited to assisting with the prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, physician referral, and medical documentation of all injuries associated with assigned student-athletes; communicating with coaches, student-athletes, parents, staff, and physicians within NATA and HIPAA guidelines; observe all athletic policy and procedures in accordance with NATA regulations as well as NCAA, Conference USA, and MTSU rules and remain certified to perform these duties
