To assist the Head Basketball Coach with the organization, administration, and development of the University of Central Missouri basketball program. Assist weight room coordinators with observing the conditioning program during the school year and off- season. Assist with scouting of opponents. Assist with recruiting. Assist with summer basketball programs.
Examples of Duties: Assist the Head Basketball Coach with organization and administration to include: -100%
Assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with the development of practice and game needs to include pre-game strategy and providing advice and input during games and practice. Assists weight room training coordinator with overseeing the conditioning program for the student athletes both during the school year and off-season. Assists with scouting of opponents to include traveling to watch opponents play and to break down game films.
Assist Men’s Head Basketball coach with the recruitment of potential student-athletes.
Assists with summer basketball camps in relation to mailing camp brochures to junior high and high school coaches and individual players; hiring staff personnel and directing the camp.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Psychology, or related field required.
Master’s degree in Physical Education, Physiology, or related field preferred.
Experience:
One (1) year proven college/junior college or two (2) years successful high school coaching and recruiting experience required.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA Rules and Regulations
