Primary Purpose
The University of the Pacific is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Track & Field Coach with a proven track record in recruiting and developing student-athletes across multiple disciplines, with a primary focus on jumps, multi-events, and pole vault. This individual will play a pivotal role in recruiting both domestically and internationally and in elevating our competitive success in the West Coast Conference.
Essential Functions
Lead recruiting efforts for the track and field program, with emphasis on building a diverse, competitive, and academically strong roster.
Design and implement training programs for vertical jumps, multi-events, and pole vault, with the flexibility to support additional event groups as needed.
Identify and recruit high-potential student-athletes on a national and international scale.
Serve as a liaison between academic support staff and student-athletes, ensuring strong academic performance and retention.
Assist with team travel, operations, equipment management, and budgeting.
Support the coordination of home meets, fundraising efforts, and alumni engagement.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes growth, accountability, and excellence.
