Carnegie Mellon University is seeking applicants for a full-time assistant coach in its intercollegiate Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs. This full-time, 10-month position, is benefits eligible and works from August through May.

Core responsibilities will include:
Demonstrate competency in sport skill instruction, motivation, and ability to conduct team and individual practice sessions under the direction of the head coach
Recruitment of potential student-athletes
Demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic, and athletic progress of student-athletes
Exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior pursuing sport programs goals set by the head coach
Leadership ability and professional behavior when working with student-athletes
Assist head coach with organization and implementation of daily practice sessions and games
Transporting team in vans to off campus matches and practices
Ability to work outside of normal business hours and on weekends
Willingness and ability to string racquets
Teaching in the physical education program, as requested
Covering shifts at recreation desks, as needed
Other duties as assigned
