Position Summary:
Yeshiva University - Head Athletic Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach, Beren Campus
Yeshiva University, a NCAA Division III institution in New York City, and member of the Skyline Conference, is seeking applicants for a Head Athletic Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach on the Beren Campus in Midtown Manhattan.
Position Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate medical care of more than 100 student athletes
Evaluate and treat athletic injuries in consult with team physician
Walk-in athletic training services
Track and document injuries
Oversee medical records and referrals, and work with student-athletes' insurance
Design and implement periodized strength and conditioning programs for seven female teams using the BodyPro app
Enhance student-athlete performance and ensure safe equipment usage
Implement appropriate injury prevention and rehabilitation programs
Maintain athletic training facilities, equipment and supplies
Maintain continuing education hours as required for ATC licensure/certification
Experience & Education Background:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, Master's degree preferred
NATA BOC required
Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
New York State licensure eligible
Skills & Competencies:
Must hold certification or comparable in any of the following: NSCA-CSCS, USA Weightlifting Certification, CSCC
Demonstrated experience and strong knowledge base in performance and injury prevention program development with collegiate athletes. Ability to work closely with team physician from NYU-Langone Medical Center
Knowledge of sports skills and strategies required for successfully engaging in competition on the Division III level
Quality interpersonal, oral and written communication and organizational skills, specifically when tracking and documenting injuries and working with insurance
Ability to work nights, weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $75,000
