As Associate Head Coach you will help support and carry out the vision of the Director/Head Coach of Swimming & Diving.
The Associate Head Coach position administers all aspects of the men’s and women’s swimming & diving program. The Associate Head Coach will manage and oversee the daily operations of the swimming & diving program including practice, gameday activities, recruiting, budget management, academic monitoring and mentoring of student-athletes.
The Associate Head Coach will actively recruit and work on successful retention practices. These student-athletes are expected to be successful in the classroom, socially responsible, and competitive within the Northeast Conference and NCAA Division I. Conduct assigned duties in accordance with all Howard University, NCAA, and Conference affiliate policies and procedures.
Other work- related duties as assigned. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to overall departmental philosophy and collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
At least 3-5 years of collegiate coaching experience or at least 10 years of high school or age group coaching experience.
