Ready to make a difference in the lives of student-athletes? Doane University Athletics is looking for an Athletic Trainer to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for preventing, treating, and rehabilitating injuries, ensuring the health and well-being of student-athletes. You’ll also provide vital support to assigned sports teams during practices and competitions, playing an integral part in their success both on and off the field.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Athletic Training.
Proven record of integrity, high principles and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating student-athletes academically and athletically.
Experience must demonstrate:
Skill in efficiently evaluating, rehabilitation, educating & revising a plan of care based on the needs of the student-athletes.
Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines & following up on assignments with a minimum of direction.
Ability to communicate to give adequate directions & instructions to athletes & students.
Understanding & ability to update, enter & monitor the Pyra-MED system.
Skill in communicating clearly & effectively, orally & in writing
Ability to work collaboratively with a broad & diverse population of students, families, peers & colleagues.
Flexibility & patience as interruptions of work are routine. Must be self-motivated & able to complete job assignments without direct supervision.
Ability to stand for long periods of time & walk long distances, as well as good mobility skills.
Knowledge of computer hardware equipment & software applications relevant to work functions.
