Ready to make a difference in the lives of student-athletes? Doane University Athletics is looking for an Athletic Trainer to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for preventing, treating, and rehabilitating injuries, ensuring the health and well-being of student-athletes. You’ll also provide vital support to assigned sports teams during practices and competitions, playing an integral part in their success both on and off the field.

• Proven record of integrity, high principles and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating student-athletes academically and athletically.

• Skill in efficiently evaluating, rehabilitation, educating & revising a plan of care based on the needs of the student-athletes.
• Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines & following up on assignments with a minimum of direction.
• Ability to communicate to give adequate directions & instructions to athletes & students.
• Understanding & ability to update, enter & monitor the Pyra-MED system.
• Skill in communicating clearly & effectively, orally & in writing
• Ability to work collaboratively with a broad & diverse population of students, families, peers & colleagues.
• Flexibility & patience as interruptions of work are routine. Must be self-motivated & able to complete job assignments without direct supervision.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time & walk long distances, as well as good mobility skills.
• Knowledge of computer hardware equipment & software applications relevant to work functions.
