Under the supervision of the Head Women's Volleyball Coach: assist in the administration, organization and overall coaching of the university's NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball program. Essential tasks include: assist the head coach with coordinating practice and game on floor coaching, scouting of opponents, on and off campus recruiting and assist in game preparations and player improvements. Provide team film exchange, community & public relations, game promotion and participation in summer camps and clinics. Ensure the program will be competitive on the field and in the classroom within NCAA guidelines and in a professional manner. Work with the athletes to develop the team offensive and defensive systems and individual team skills; serve as a positive and professional authority figure, a role model and a counselor to our student athletes advising them in matters related to their sport and education. Make public appearances and speak at civic events within the community and perform other related duties as assigned by the head coach. Attend national conference meetings and national volleyball conventions to remain current in their sport including changes that occur. Required to know and follow NCAA rules and regulations reporting any violations to the Director of Compliance and required to pass the NCAA recruiting exam to recruit each season.
Bachelor's Degree required. Two years experience as a collegiate player and/or as a coach at a high school, college, club or professional level.
