JOB DESCRIPTION: At Chipinaw, we take great pride in providing an unbelievable summer for hundreds of campers every year. With over 60 different activities at camp, we are looking to hire skilled individuals to be teachers and coaches in those areas. Baseball counselors will work 5 - 50 minute periods daily, teaching campers ranging in ages 8-15. Coaches will prepare lesson plans, create fun drills and games, practice schedules, and anything else to keep their program innovative and fresh. As a baseball specialist you will also get the opportunity to teach, coach teams, and referee/umpire games. If you are a bunk counselor, you will spend other parts of day watching over and building relationships with your campers and playing camp.

ROLES AVAILABLE: Softball, Flag Football, Roller/Street Hockey, & Lacrosse.

We are also searching for a Baseball / Softball director who will oversee both programs and live in private staff housing. Salary and responsibilities will differ in this role. Please email if interested.

SALARY & BENEFITS: $2,400- $3,000 + Room & Board, Meals, and a Travel Stipend

We provide a week long orientation to prepare you for your role. When not teaching lessons, you will get to experience being a bunk counselor. Each bunk will have 7-10 campers and 2-3 staff members. Your responsibilities include watching over and being a big brother/sister figure to your campers. You will get the opportunity to play camp and have fun every day while being on the job!

About Camp Chipinaw

Camp Chipinaw and Silver Lake are traditional co-ed Residential Summer Camps located in the Catskill Mountains of New York, 2 hours NW of NYC. Established in 1926, Chipinaw offers a wide variety of arts, sports, adventure, and water activities in a full 7 week session. Silver Lake offers the same program in a shorter time with 3 and 4 week sessions. Our campers and staff come from across the country and around the world to be part of an amazing summer experience.
