Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Women’s Basketball Program
• Recruit student-athletes that reflect the values and mission of Carolina University
• Identify and attract high-caliber student-athletes to compete and fill the roster
• Submit the names of all student-athletes to the eligibility and compliance officer to begin the process of eligibility certification
• Ensure compliance with all institutional, regional, and governing body rules and regulations
• Conduct practices in a manner that reflects professionalism, a Christ-like witness, and a concern for the total welfare of the student-athlete, including their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development
• Provide technical and tactical instruction and feedback to student-athletes
• Organize game day preparations, including gym setup and breakdown, uniform and equipment preparation, game-plan preparation, warm-up activities, and game evaluation
• Conduct video, analysis, and scouting reports of opponents
• Conduct in-game coaching and adjustments during matches
• Develop and manage the uniforms, gear, and equipment inventory
• Address all student conduct issues in collaboration with the Office of Campus Life
• Complete all game travel procedures in conjunction with the Athletic Director/Assistant Athletic Director, including the organization of lodging, meals, and completion of expense reconciliation
• Create and distribute a travel itinerary to all student-athletes, athletic trainers, and athletic administrators
• Arrange and supervise internal and external community outreach opportunities for your team
• Develop and participate in program and athletic department fundraising efforts
• Work effectively with student-athletes, staff, faculty, parents, alumni, officials, coaching peers, and administration
• Effectively manage and steward the women’s basketball budget
• Assist other athletic programs and departments on campus when needed
• Develop and maintain a consistent social media presence for the women’s basketball team
• Coach your team to win. However, the development of character in the student-athlete is more important than winning.
• Be present on campus and collaborate with other CU Departments
• Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned by the Athletic Director

• Extensive knowledge of women’s basketball techniques, tactics, and rules
• Strong understanding of the recruitment process and ability to identify and attract talented student-athletes
• Proven ability to teach and develop student-athletes at the collegiate level
