SUMMARY: The Major Gift Officer, Athletics will serve as a strategic fundraising partner for the Vice President of Advancement and the Director of Athletics. This position reports to the Associate Vice President University Advancement and has a dotted line to the Director of Athletics, emphasizing close collaboration with the athletics office. This role will strive to achieve ambitious goals in pursuit of the Athletic Department’s fundraising priorities. The Major Gift Officer, Athletics is responsible for planning and implementing a program of identification, cultivation and solicitation of individual major gift, planned gift, and partnership prospects, partnering with the Director of Athletics on high-level major donor strategies, supporting coaching staff with fundraising skills
