The Assistant/Associate Director of Development is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing major gifts ($25,000+) for the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation through the Vaught Society. This position reports to an Assistant Athletic Director of Development - Major Gifts and involves extensive travel and engagement with donors to support OMAF’s fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivate and solicit major gifts ($25,000+) from current and prospective donors
Manage a portfolio of major gift donors to increase support for Ole Miss Athletics
Travel extensively and often overnight within Mississippi and assigned out-of-state territories for donor meetings
Engage with donors during Vaught Society events and home football game day activities
Assist with ticket and parking allocation for donors
Collaborate with the Donor Experience team to ensure proper stewardship and benefits fulfillment
Contribute to event preparation for Vaught Society events
Explore new revenue streams
Represent Ole Miss Athletics positively and maintain compliance with NCAA, SEC, and University regulations
Work some nights and weekends
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
2-4 years of fundraising, ticketing, or sales experience in college athletics or related field
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of fundraising practices, NCAA, and SEC compliance
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Willingness to work with diverse individuals and communities
This role involves a high degree of self-motivation, creativity, and relationship-building within the athletics fundraising landscape.
