  What You’ll Do:

  As a Camp Counselor and Athletics Coach, you’ll wear many hats:

  • Athletics Coaching: Lead skill development sessions, team practices, and competitive games for boys ages 7–16 in your area(s) of expertise (e.g., basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball, volleyball, strength and conditioning, wrestling, golf, and more).
  • Mentorship: Be a positive role model by supporting campers’ emotional and social growth.
  • Camp Life Leadership: Live in cabins with campers, facilitate team-building activities, and ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside a passionate and diverse team of counselors, coaches, and staff from around the world.
  • Special Events: Help organize and run camp-wide events like color wars, tournaments, and friendly competitions with our rival camp.

  Who We’re Looking For:

  We want enthusiastic, adaptable, and team-oriented individuals who:

  • Are college athletes, high school coaches, or professionals with significant experience in sports coaching or instruction.
  • Have a background in youth leadership, coaching, or working with kids in some capacity.
  • Are energetic, patient, and excellent communicators.
  • Can live and work in a residential camp setting for 8–10 weeks.

  Bonus Points If You:

  • Are CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become certified).
  • Have experience with other camp activities like outdoor education, archery, or water sports.
  • Can bring a unique skill or talent to camp life (e.g., music, drama, or cooking).

About Camp Menominee

Camp Menominee is a residential summer camp located in Northern Wisconsin. We specialize in athletics, outdoor education and youth development. We have an amazing group of campers and staff from around the world each summer. Our campers come from all over the world as well to work with our coaches and instructors in skill based instruction and competition. Our mission is to help unlock the potential of our campers so they can be the best version of themselves. We don’t think it is enough to simply teach our boys how to swing a bat, get up on water-skis or shoot a bullseye. Campers today are capable of so much more and we want to help bring out the best in each of them. Behind our dynamic program is a set of core values that guides us. We promote personal development and teamwork so that the boy your son wants to be, will grow at Camp Menominee. Our staff consists of former campers, new American staff and internationals visiting from all over the world. Many campers choose to return to camp as counselors. Why?
