Essential Functions
Job Summary
This position will assist the Head Coach in all phases of the Women's Volleyball program, including coaching current team members, recruiting quality student-athletes on a national and international level, and administrative duties as assigned.
To serve as a coach and mentor to student-athletes in the sport of Women's Volleyball. UTSA coaches are expected to use proper judgement in the position at all times, follow all UTSA and NCAA rules and regulations, complete tasks in a timely manner, and represent the University, its athletic department, and the UTSA Women's Volleyball team in a professional and positive manner.
Core Responsibilities
Be knowledgeable of and adherence to NCAA and conference rules.
Monitor the compliance to NCAA and conference rules and policies by assistant coaches.
Recruit quality student-athletes.
Assist with all practice sessions.
Help create and implement scouting reports.
One on one and group film sessions.
Assist in travel coordination.
Help coordinate Volleyball camp activities.
Provide mentorship to Support Staff.
Social Media experience preferred.
Represent UTSA at American Athletic Conference and national meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in any field of study.
Three years volleyball experience as a college, professional or international player or coach.
Specific knowledge in the sport of volleyball and knowledge and compliance with all NCAA, State of Texas, UTSA, and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations.
Good assessment and communication skills to recruit and represent UTSA.
Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment.
Coding practice and matches.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree from an accredited university.
Knowledge of Data Volley or Volleystation.

Working Conditions
Physical activity in the sport of volleyball.
Ability to travel extensively using personal or rental vehicles to perform essential functions of the job. Travel will be primarily in Texas.
Weekend and evening hours and required travel.
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, bending, stooping, pulling, and pushing.
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
