The Head Flag Football Coach instructs and trains student athletes in the fundamentals of Flag Football and provides guidance regarding student athlete academic success. The coach develops, recruits, and administers a competitive Flag Football program consistent with the student-athlete philosophy of NCAA Division III athletics. Coach is expected to develop, coordinate and manage an active recruitment and retention program for Flag Football student athletes. Assist with department operations, game day management, outside group coordination for rentals and overall operation of the athletic department.

Duties and Responsibilites -Instruct, teach, and train student athletes in the rules and fundamentals of Flag Football and teamwork.

-Develop, communicate, and execute game and practice plans for the team and for individual athletes; monitor playing and practice activities and scheduling of contests.

-Guide and instruct athletes of health, nutrition, wellness, team concepts and safety.

-Respond to and address academic concerns with student athletes; monitor academic policies and requirements, academic progress, full time enrollment and graduation rates.

-Coordinate tutors for team roster; interface, integrate and coordinate with other academic support and compliance units for student athlete academic success.

-Recruit prospective student athletes to maintain optimal roster sizes.

-Enhance student athlete retention by establishing mentoring relationships and providing a positive, productive athletic and academic experience.

-Hire, train, and supervise assistant Flag Football coaches.

-Assist with fitness center operations, game day management, outside group coordination and overall operation of the athletic department.

Other duties as assigned by leadership.
