This position will serve as the athletic trainer for men’s basketball and will work as part of the Sports Medicine team to facilitate the care of student-athletes. Responsibilities include evaluation of illnesses, injuries, and course of action. Assist in coordinating appropriate medical personnel coverage and travel with assigned teams for away competition. Serve as a liaison for the medical care and well-being between student-athletes, coaches, physicians, healthcare providers and sports medicine staff. Update and maintain accurate medical records for individual student-athletes including medical history, physical exam forms, daily injury reports and progress notes. Responsible for the operation and implementation of preseason physicals.
