PRIMARY FUNCTION AND RELATIONSHIP TO TOTAL ORGANIZATION
• Manage event presentation, game experience and sponsorship activation for ORU Athletics, but not limited to, writing scripts and timelines, directing game, creating and managing videoboard content, designing elements as needed, managing game day staff, and building out a complete fan experience in-venue. Implement an ORU kid’s club. Assists in all facets of student experience at ORU athletic events, including student section, and campus growth.
• Plan, direct, and execute game production efforts for men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, volleyball, and soccer, including the creation of game scripts, music/band promotions, videoboard content, cheer/mascot, and on-court presentations; while overseeing external fan engagement student interns and student section.
• Manage intern program for Athletics including scheduling of grassroots initiatives for the marketing department
• Coordinate in-game promotions and execute theme game nights for soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and other select sports
• Prepare pregame, in-game, and post-game videoboard elements for all home basketball and baseball games.
• Work closely with ORU Sports Properties to ensure the fulfillment of all sponsorship contracts, including arena and stadium signage, public address announcements, in-game promotions, logo recognition and all other components incorporated into a game presentation
2. Promotion of Games
• Day-to-day management of athletics e-blasts, including newsletters, ticket promotions, week-of emails, game day text alerts, etc.
• Implement effective marketing of promotions and events via all channels and media, e.g. oruathletics.com, social media, print, electronic media, etc.
• Assist with the coordination and management of scheduling community events and appearances by athletes and staff with the goal of building visibility in the community.
• Work closely with ORU Student Association to promote athletic events to students.
3. Athletics Liaison to Campus
• Coordinate on-campus activation methods to promote upcoming games and increase exposure of ORU Athletics.
• Grow the membership of the Student Section, the Blue Crew, to 700 members, and assist with Blue Crew sponsored events.
• Work closely with on-campus departments (Student Activities, Housing, etc.) to grow the athletics brand and increase school spirit.
4.Graphic Design
• Assist the Director of Creative, in branding, game day video board graphic updates, and videoboard content creation.
• Work with ORU sports properties with videoboard sponsorship fulfillment. Be able to edit graphic templates with given sponsorship logos and tag lines.
5.Implementation of Kids Club
• Create and implement an ORU kids club to help grow the Golden Eagles next generation of new fans.
• Create a family friendly culture to encourage parents to bring their kids to athletic events.
6.Miscellaneous
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and adhere to applicable NCAA, Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations. Upon notification of any NCAA violation, report the violation to the Assistant Athletic Director/Compliance or Director of Athletics and follow applicable procedures for reporting and investigating a violation with the NCAA.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent knowledge and experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
•One to three years of work experience. •Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point is preferred. •Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. •Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. •Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. •Ability to make independent decisions and judgments on administrative and procedural issues. •Ability to analyze facts to determine actions to be taken within the limits of standard practice. •Ability to build relationships with campus personnel and students.
